How the board meets

Two things a resident needs before turning up: when the board sits, and how to be heard once it does. The Town supplies both.

When and where the board meets

The Board of Commissioners holds its regular meeting once a month, in the evening, at the Town office. The date and time of the next one are shown at the top of this page and on the front page, with an “Add to calendar” link.

Special meetings are called by the Mayor or a majority of the board. Each one is posted on this site as a notice at least 48 hours ahead, with its agenda.

Speaking at a meeting

Every regular meeting has a public comment period near the start. Sign the sheet by the door before the meeting opens, give your name and street when called, and keep to three minutes.

To ask that an item be put on a future agenda, call or write the Town Clerk at least a week before the meeting.

Questions about a meeting

Marie Garris, Town Clerk / Finance Officer, keeps the Town's records. The Town office answers on two numbers, each with the days it is staffed.
